Roy Dean Bigham

	Roy Dean Bigham, age 76, of Vergennes, died at his home on Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at 5:10 p.m.
	Roy Dean was born on September 4, 1925 in Perry County, the son of Roy M. and Clara (Hamilton) Bigham.  He married Irma D. Engelhardt on September 27, 1952 and she survives.   Roy Dean was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Murphysboro American Legion.  He worked with his family as a lifelong farmer.  He was also a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Vergennes, the Perry County Farm Bureau and was president of the Galum Presbyterian Cemetery Association.  Roy Dean loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
	Survivors include his wife, Irma, of Vergennes; a son, Don Bigham, wife Gwen and daughter, Sara, of Pinckneyville; son, Alan Bigham, wife Tena and children, Catlin, Emma and Lucas, of Vergennes; a daughter, Jeanne Heaton, husband Rodger and children, Jill, Olivia, Jessica and Mark, of Rochester, Ill.; son, Greg Bigham, wife Cheryl and children, Macy, Holly, Taylor and Grant, of Pinckneyville and a brother, Orville Bigham and wife Doris of Pinckneyville.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margaret Leehy.
	Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 9, 2002 at 10 a.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Vergennes with Rev. In Sook Hwang officiating.  Interment was in the Galum Presbyterian Cemetery in Pinckneyville.
	Visitation was held on Friday, March 8 at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville from 5 until 9 p.m. and on Saturday at the Wesley United Methodist Church from 8 a.m. until services.
	Memorials may be made to the Galum Presbyterian Cemetery Association or the Won Joon Yoon Scholarship Fund.
